We’re excited to share some of noga’s recent milestones of the first Q1 of 2025 — and more importantly, the impact we’re making.

First, we’re proud to announce the successful completion of the “noga BackPack Innovation Program” for Companies with Export Potential, developed in partnership with PROCOMER, Costa Rica’s export agency. This initiative empowered small and medium-sized companies to unlock new export opportunities by integrating innovation into their core strategies. Leveraging our mentoring network, we delivered guidance tailored to each company’s innovation RoadMap.

Second, 2025 began with a clear and ambitious vision: strategically expanding noga’s presence in Mexico, Brazil, and Spain—three high-potential markets where the demand for Israeli innovation continues to grow. With our deep understanding of these countries' ecosystems, strong local partnerships, and market-entry expertise, we’re building meaningful connections, validating offerings, and navigating the complexities of global growth.

Finally, our commitment to advancing innovation in AgriFoodTech remains stronger than ever. We continue to participate in top industry events and share insights and lessons learned.

As always, we’re proud to share how we’re helping companies grow, connect, and innovate — and we look forward to keeping you updated on what’s next.

Delivering Value Through Accelerating Innovation and Business Growth

PROCOMER: “noga BackPack Innovation Program”

We are deepening our commitment to delivering cutting-edge innovation training through our tailored program “noga BackPack Innovation” to equip businesses with the tools, insights, and strategies they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive global landscape.

In collaboration with PROCOMER, Costa Rica’s export promotion agency, we launched a comprehensive Training Program for Companies with Export Potential to strengthen the export capacity of 15 Costa Rican small and medium-sized companies. The program’s core mission was to help these businesses create added value in their products and services, enhancing their competitiveness and readiness to enter international markets.

The program included:

  • An innovation workshop for the PROCOMER team.

  • Group and Personalized Sessions for 15 SMEs.

  • Diagnosis and Innovation Roadmap.

  • High-Level Mentors from Israel, Spanish speakers, and with a Latin American background.

  • Pitch Day for the participating companies.

One standout case was MAE, a company that produces healthy snacks. Through their work with their mentor, they overcame technical challenges in their production process that they had struggled with for a long time. Additionally, the recommended packaging solutions will significantly contribute to the scalability of its snacks, opening expansion opportunities.

Expanding Noga’s Global Footprint

Kicking Off 2025 with Strategic Focus

The year 2025 kicked off with a bold and strategic vision for noga: significantly expanding its presence across Mexico, Brazil, and Spain—three dynamic and high-potential markets where interest in Israeli innovation is strong and rapidly accelerating. This expansion reflects noga’s commitment to fostering global partnerships, responding to growing demand for cutting-edge solutions, and building meaningful, long-term collaborations to drive local impact and international growth.

Mexico has been a key focus in Q1, and we’re excited about the momentum we’re building. In February, our Business Development Manager, Alexa Goldner Bicas, traveled to Mexico for high-impact meetings with potential investors, corporate leaders, and public sector stakeholders. What stood out most was the strong appetite for Israeli solutions in AgriFoodTech, Health Tech, and Government Tech.

Brazil. Entering the Brazilian market is a key milestone in noga’s strategic global expansion. As Latin America’s largest economy with a rapidly evolving tech ecosystem, Brazil offers a unique opportunity for innovation-driven partnerships. The country's increasing demand for sustainable solutions, digital transformation, and advanced technologies aligns seamlessly with noga’s core mission and capabilities. noga is committed to building strong local relationships and working closely with Brazilian partners who deeply understand the cultural, regulatory, and business landscape. Together, we aim to introduce exceptional startups to the market and foster long-term, value-driven innovation.

Spain is a key country for noga, as its robust economy thrives on agriculture, renewable energy, and technology sectors.noga actively engages in this dynamic landscape, fostering collaboration across these vital industries.

Recently, Rina Fainstein, noga’s CEO, participated in two interesting events in Spain. She was recently invited as a judge at the Wine Innovation Summit, which blends winemaking with AI, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Rina also attended the FoodChangemakers 2025 Awards gala, joining over 150 global leaders belonging to the food industry.

Exploring the Future of Food, Together

We attended high-level events and visited startups to gain fresh insights, identify emerging trends, and establish strategic connections that translate knowledge into action. These experiences boost our ability to scout impactful technologies and create new opportunities for the companies we support in Latin America and Spain. As active players in the AgriFoodTech sector, we’re inspired by innovations shaping the future of food—from precision agriculture to sustainable food systems.

We recently participated in the 2nd edition of the FoodSec&TechIL Conference, a pivotal event promoting multidisciplinary collaboration to shape Israel’s national food security strategy. During the "GO GLOBAL" panel, Rina Fainstein shared valuable insights on how Israeli startups can successfully partner with global corporations, drawing from our extensive experience with Grupo Bimbo.

At the Building Sustainable Food Systems in a Changing World conference, organized by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Center for Sustainable Food Systems, we attended an engaging FoodTech ecosystem panel. Industry leaders like Tnuva and Strauss Group discussed their innovative approaches to open innovation, unveiling new methods to revolutionize the food sector.

The Future of AgriTech is Here. The Future of AgriTech is Here. Hosted at the Google for Startups Israel Campus in Tel Aviv, this panel discussion brought together industry leaders to explore how AgriTech is reshaping the agriculture of tomorrow.

The event also highlighted Israeli startups' challenges when entering international markets, particularly those in Spanish-speaking countries.

We visited Treetoscope’s stunning offices at the Netter Center—AgriFood & Climatech. Treetoscope is an incredible startup specializing in precision irrigation management using advanced sap flow sensing technology.
